Online Exhibition: In the hold
Curated by Flinders University colleagues, Dr Ali Gumillya Baker and Fiona Salmon, In the hold at FUMA – Flinders University Museum of Art considers the enduring grip of Lt. James Cook in the nation’s collective imagination. In works made since the late 20th century, the artists in this exhibition defy traditional representations of Cook as a cultural and historical luminary to re-imagine and re-position him as a contested figure. Commencing 27 May.
