Vickers Vimy: The Great Air Race of 1919
Hear the incredible story from a member of the SA Aviation Museum’s History Research Group, Mike Milln. He will explain why the crew was uniquely qualified to achieve one of the greatest aviation feats of all time, the characteristics of the aircraft that made it possible, the highlights of the Great Race in 1919 itself and the post race events that resulted in the Vimy being preserved at Adelaide Airport.
