PHA (SA)’s History at The Historian:The Significance of Significance Assessments
‘History at the Historian’ is back for 2025!
Whether you’re a history enthusiast, historian, heritage professional or student, these events are a fantastic opportunity to engage with experts in the field, ask questions, and enjoy a stimulating discussion in a relaxed pub setting.
This year, we’re kicking off on Monday, 24 February with a distinguished panel of experts, including Veronica Bullock, Susan Marsden, and Geoff Speirs, who will talking about how significance assessments help determine the value and meaning of historical objects, places, and narratives.
The discussion will delve into how these assessments are done, how they can shape our understanding of history, and how they influence decision-making in the heritage and museum sectors.
Join the Professional Historians Association (SA) at The Historian Hotel from 5.45pm for a social catch up, with the talk starting at 7pm. Nibbles provided, meals available to order.
