Effective midday today, Monday 23 March, The History Trust of South Australia will close all of its public sites, including National Motor Museum, South Australian Maritime Museum, Migration Museum and Centre of Democracy until further notice.
The safety and well-being of our visitors, employees, volunteers and the broader community is our top priority. We are taking these steps as a public health precaution in support of measures to contain the COVID-19 pandemic.
We are committed to providing support for our employees and to safeguarding our community during challenging times.
The History Trust of South Australia’s senior management have taken this decision in line with the new national widespread social gathering measures announced by the Prime Minister on 22 March.
Due to the rapidly evolving nature of the situation, we will not announce a reopening date at this time and will be providing regular updates via our website and social media channels.
If you are seeking information on COVID-19, visit www.health.gov.au or call the Australian Government Department of Health Coronavirus Information Line on 1800 020 080.
Thank you for your understanding. It is important that community health and safety are paramount. Take care.
