The speaker at our meeting is Emily Richardson who is the Assistant State Manager of the
National Archives of Australia, SA office. Emily’s topic will be Indigenous Service Men and
Women who served in the first and second world wars, long before their country recognised
them as Australian Citizens. Emily’s presentation will tell some of the stories revealed in the
service records of these indigenous service men and women which are held in the National
Archives collection, and some of the challenges they faced.
